This album has been carefully crafted by Seidiu Alexandru ( www.myspace.com/csmfalls ) / Serban Ilicevici and features artwork by Twilight13Media.
Genres? You know we hate ‘em! But for the genre-freaks among you, it’s some sort of post/rock/metal/ambient/electronic stuff !
As usual it is on free download but this time with a twist!
Alongside the digital version, there is also a special very limited cd version of the album that is distributed for free.
But if you hanged with us long enough you probably know by now that NOTHING is free ! And of course there is something you will have to give in return and that something is far more valuable for us than useless pieces of paper portrating dead people !
Where was i? Cds! Right, cds.
The thing is – there is no order button for the Semiosis CDs. Instead of that, you will just have to write an e-mail to: asiluum@gmail.com with your name and address (don’t worry, we will show up at your door!).
The easy part stops right about after you will recieve your CD!
The catch about this project is that you will have to send us back a piece of work based upon this album, be it a photograph, a painting, a drawing, a text or even music! This is an absolut must, but don’t take it as an “obligation”. Instead free your mind and… create!
We would call it a fair trade but in no way we quantise these things!

“” … defapt, cred ca Semiosis pe undeva e cusatura lui semi(nar) si (hypn)osis, din care a crescut ceva sensibil.
Pentru doomeri si nu numai, discul in sine va fi mai greu de comentat dpdv metodic decat compozitional atunci cand
iese la iveala faptul ca doar Daft si Punk sunt componenta care l-a procreat. Planul de bataie zgarie mai multe arii,
de la post rock la dark-ambiental la usor psychedelic, ce are ceva mai multe sau mai putine accentuari pe factura
electro. Cand vine vorba de structura, totul e fin pregatit, fragmentat si episodic, nitel progresiv, ce te-ndreapta spre
un laitmotiv inedit, care este inexistent defapt – iar asta sporeste surpriza de-ti ridica tot ce ai pe spinare si maini + sprancene.
Pretty artsy. Pasajele melodice de chitara fac totul – sunt cu pensula – lafel ca si partea grafica. Synthurile, flutterurile
si ce mai sunt acolo dau ton destul de vechi si uneori apocaliptic, foarte sumbru – dar nu chiar pana la muzica de viermi.
Pare sa fie lucrat si analizat pe straturi. Unele pasaje de chitara sunt supraincarcate pana la refuz dar magnitudinea tot
emotionala ramane. Timbrul atmosferei, cum am mai spus, este pronuntat grav sau/si infundat iar fondul de ecou de impunge
armonia uneori inspre catedralic. Asta e si nu e bine – cateodata iti poate aglomera destul pasul prin piese si se pierde ceva
detaliu, insa e pacat sa treci orb prin soarele mare. Samburele discului, compozitia Pictural, suna clar a fi momentul de rugaciune
in timp ce Color Up iti aduce aminte de dimineata inflorita a Craciunului pe care n-ai avut-o niciodata. Numele pieselor dau
nenumarate interpretari. Mie-imi pare a fi diafilmul unei zile taiate si iar discul in sine poate sa fie doar inramarea visului din
somn – sau poate fix invers. “”

Brilliant Release, many thanks for sharing this as a free download. It’s way better than the most commercial postrock albums. I just added you to my blog as my favourite record of the month.

interviu cu Semiosis in emisiunea Antidot, de la Radio Lynx, http://www.radiolynx.ro, sambata, 2 mai, ora 16. Antidot este o emisiune dedicata exclusiv scenei de muzica alternativa din Ro si se desfasoara in fiecare sambata, de la ora 16 la 18. Semiosis intra undeva dupa 16:30

[...] It’s hard for me to choose a stand-out track because all the 7 songs are truly beautiful. Maybe ‘One Piece Puzzle’ and ‘Between A Rock And A Hard Place’ fit my taste the best, but as I said this is a colorful album so it’s sure to please a wide range of listeners. As far as the production goes these guys have proven that you don’t need to have a great deal of money to produce a sound worthy of post-modern times. Overall this is an enchanting, spotless piece of work that is already raising eyebrows in various corners of the world. I predict a good future for this band especially if they manage to leave the crowd of post-rock bands behind and forge a unique recognizable sound of their own.
